How Do You Know When a Scene Is Good Enough to Move On?

Hey everyone,

I am working on a short story & I keep getting stuck revising the same scene over and over. It is not bad but I keep feeling such as something’s missing. Sometimes I will move on, only to come back and nitpick it again. I just sit there tweaking dialogue and descriptions until I forget what I was trying to do in the first place

I guess my question is — how do you know when a scene is done enough to move forward? Do you power through and trust yourself to fix it later or do you prefer polishing as you go? I don’t want to get stuck in perfectionism but I also do not want to build on a shaky foundation.

I have check this Who is good at social media / email / events? jira course I want to hear tips if anyone have so please share with me.

Thank you.

What I usually do is take a break leave it alone for a couple of days and come back. I usually will know with the last re-read if its ready
