In my dreams I am a cheetah: agile, fleet, and able to change direction with jaw-dropping speed. My clumsy progress through life has not been so swift. Random events have prompted constant change. I’ve reinvented my career at least five times. Formerly a glass beadmaker, with a suite of instructional books to my credit, I’ve also been a dancer, choreographer, jewelry and photography assistant/accountant—perhaps I have indeed switched direction midair (and caught pursuits) by nurturing a creative streak. Currently, I’m writing my first fantasy novel Maizi Glass. Its progress is limited to the early hours before work as lead graphic designer of Gladstone calendars.
